Prescription Reviews

Prescriptions reviews are provided at no charge to patients by appointment. The review would require the patient to bring all medication bottles or a current list of medication that he or she is taking. We also want the patient to bring all insurance cards.

Medication Review Documents

Download our Medication Review document to complete and bring into the pharmacy with you. The Medicare Part D worksheet will also be helpful.

The review normally takes about fifteen minutes and we hope to accomplish the following in no particular order.

1. Answer all questions and concerns about medications being taken. Identify what the medication is used for and side effects to expect. 2. Identify if your medications comply with your insurance formulary. If any medications do not comply then the pharmacist doing the review will work with you and your doctor to identify cost effective alternatives that will keep your level of pharmacy care the same but reduce your out of pocket costs. We will also advise the patient as to the best way to by medications. If you can save money by getting a "90 day" supply then we will bring that to your attention. 3. We will help you develop a plan of when to take your medication. Some medications work best with food and some without. Some medications work better when taken in the morning or the evening. We will help you make an appropriate schedule.
